The workout offers all of the benefits
of regular pilates such as balance,
coordination and flexibility, which are
said to also improve posture and may
relieve certain physical pain including in
the back area.
The versatile machine incorporates
foot and arm straps, with small weights,
stability balls and strengthening rings
sometimes used while on the reformer.
The popularity of the reformer classes
has led Ms De Maria to shift the focus of
her studio away from yoga.
